Cranberry Pale Ale is awesome

Well, tonight I tried my first ever glass of homemade beer. It is the Cranberry Pale Ale that I made and wrote a post about back in late December.
It is delicious. It is the BEST BEER I HAVE EVER TASTED! I am not just saying that because I made it, it really is the best beer I have ever tasted, and I have tasted a lot of beers in my day. A number of years ago, when I was about 20, some good friends and I would frequent a bar in Washington, D.C. called the Brickskeller. It claimed to have over 1000 beers from around the world. Well, needless to say, we tried new ones every weekend. I tasted some very interesting beers there, some very good and some not so good. I have always liked trying new foods, beer and wine. I was totally shocked when I tried my beer. In the back of my mind this whole time I was really wondering how good could a home brew be. I read a lot of literature over the past few weeks, all saying that home brewed beer tastes so much better than beer from major sellers. The wondering is over. This beer is awesome. There is supposed to be a couple of home brew competitions coming up in a few months here in Wilmington, and I think I will enter my Cranberry Pale Ale. My brother-in-law Jay is considering buying a home brew kit, and all I can say is, “DO IT.” This coming weekend I am going to brew my second batch, this time it is going to be a wheat beer, either boysenberry wheat, or raspberry wheat.

Well congrats!!! I am very jealous and will have to make some beer too. Maybe I will place the order next week and see what happens.
Definitely. Tomorrow, I am making my Boysenberry wheat beer. Stephanie loves boysenberry.
Stephanie loves anything that makes her streak around the high school track at midnight.
