Collecting the Fifty State Quarters
|
|
I was so excited last week when I went to Michael’s Craft store. I finally found a Fifty State Commemorative Quarter Folder. This folder holds all of the quarters from 1999 to 2008. It has a place for two of each quarter, one for the Philadelphia mint and one for the Denver mint.
I was initially looking for them for my mother-in-law but got so excited I bought myself one also. The fact that I used a coupon as well just made the whole day perfect. I know sounds kind of geeky but it made me happy.
So last night I went to my secret location and found my quarter stash. I have been collection coins for several years now. This probably isn’t a collection that would get too many people excited but I like the little glass jars that hold everything.
I dumped my quarters out on the rug and started sifting through them. I was surprised how many actually came out of the little bottle. I separated the state quarters from the regular quarters. I even found a silver quarter from 1964…pretty cool! It took me a long time to go through them all and my neck hurt by the time I was done. I made a lot of progress though.
I figured out that I only need about 20 something quarters to catch up then get all of the quarters next year and it will be complete. So my request to you is….
Please look through your change and see if you have any of these state quarters

I have my own request. Send me all your quarters, because I have three collections. Oh, you’ll see…you are going to feel so guilty not collecting your extra quarters that you are going to buy more quarter holders. Mad peace and hair grease.
[…] you know that Stephanie has an official quarter collection now? Yes, apparently, she had a secret quarter trash hidden […]
omg.. good work, bro
