How to Sell on EBAY

Have you ever looked around your house and realized how much junk you have? Well, I do that everyday. Every now and then I actually get the itch to put something on Ebay to see what will happen. I go through phases. Sometimes I will list a lot and sell a lot. Other times I just list sporadically. As of today, it’s been a while.
So this afternoon, I decided to sit down and try to resell some stuff on Ebay. The items I listed aren’t items that I had hanging around the house but items that I bought at a yard sale or auction.
The first item is a vintage Veriflex skateboard. I know many of you reading this will look at this picture and recognize this board. I know we had something similar in our house when I was growing up. I bought this for $1 at a neighborhood yard sale last weekend. If you want to follow how well it does on Ebay, just click THIS.
The second item I listed is a large wooden spoon and fork set. I believe these are from the 70s. Also, from what I hear, they can be seen on the wall of the TV shows Everybody Loves Raymond and That 70’s Show. They are about 28″ long and very unique. I got these from an auction at a storage bin. They were in a box that I purchased for $1. You can follow this listing HERE.
The keys to listing items on Ebay are:
:Title (List as many key words in the title as possible)
:Pictures (The 1st one is free but list as many as needed)
:Shipping (Never overcharge but consider the cost and extra weight of packaging)
:Desription (Be as specific as possible. Try to answer all questions that may arise)
:Be Honest (Never try to hide a defect. That’s just not nice.)
:Gallery Picture (This is 35 cents but may help promote your item if it is very unique.)
:Research (Research your item before listing. See if there are similar items listed and see if they are selling. If there are 100 of the same item listed and no one is buying them then don’t list it, it’s not worth it.)
:Extras (You don’t need a lot of extras. It shouldn’t cost more than $1 to list something)
So search your house and see what you can find to sell. Then follow these directions and you will do fine. If you can’t figure it out, call me and I’ll help. Don’t worry, I only charge a 50% commission. ![]()
